How do I order a custom commission or modification?
Reach out via the contact form or DM @nhorologylab to discuss your design — be as involved or hands-off as you like. Once the design is finalised, we send an itemised quote of parts and labour for your approval. A security deposit books your slot; the balance is due on completion.
Can you remake a design I like, or change it?
Most designs can be replicated or modified to taste. Some vintage and restomod builds can’t be repeated due to parts scarcity, and some bespoke commissions are kept exclusive at the client’s request.
How long does a commission take?
Typical turnaround is quoted at around four weeks from deposit to shipment; assembly itself takes about a week once parts arrive. Any unforeseen delays are communicated along the way.
Do I need to provide anything?
No — we source everything. If you prefer, you can send your own donor watch or parts and we’ll assemble around them.
How are the watches shipped?
In a presentation box with a ribbon, inside an outer shipping box, with a suede travel pouch. Strap tools for sizing and strap changes, spare spring bars, and a UV light for demonstrating the lume are all included. Fully insured and express shipped — typically next-day in North America and 3–5 days to Europe and Asia. Import charges and tariffs are the client’s responsibility. We ship via UPS. Shipping rates and couriers may vary from time to time.
How do I pay?
PayPal for international clients, INTERAC e-Transfer for Canadian clients (CAD), or Shopify Payments for major credit cards and Apple/Google Pay.
Are the watches water resistant?
Water resistance varies with the case and build specification. Ratings typically range from 100–300m, with most cases rated to 200–300m; select cases may differ. Namir confirms the rating for your chosen build. Every watch is tested in a three-step process — ultrasonication, condensation and wet-pressure testing. The screw-down crown must be fully secured to maintain water resistance. Some components, such as leather bands, aren’t waterproof.
Are the watches regulated?
Yes — every watch is precision-regulated for beat rate and beat error and checked on a timegrapher. Each watch is then observed over a testing period before shipping to gauge its average timekeeping performance.
Is there a warranty?
A 12-month warranty from the date of shipment covers internal work and operation. It excludes cosmetic damage, wear & tear, and user negligence. Once a watch is personalised, the original OEM manufacturer guarantee is no longer valid — only the NHorology Lab guarantee applies.
Do you sell ready-made watches?
Generally no — commissions only, since tastes vary. We do release one or two showpieces of our own design each month, which usually sell the same day.
